If your faint of heart bring a friend. Like many others you'll feel pulled like a magnet to the spooky-looking unpainted house with gables. Halloween Plantation is like a web that ensnares. Halloween Plantation comes alive with spirits from the past. Waiting your arrival...the ghouls of the house prepare to make your worst nightmare come true. Listen carefully to the guides as they will give you the warning to stay close to your group and not venture beyond the realm of the unknown. It has been said that some victims have not made it past the old well, and by chance you may hear them call out to you by name. On Hallows Eve it is told that the spirits will follow you thorugh the night until first light...this is not a place for the faint of heart.

History:

The house was actually built in the 1700s and lay in ruins until seven years ago when it was opened to the public each October opening at darkness and closing at the stroke of midnight. It was first told that an old woman lived there alone with all her pets, which no one saw until darkness fell. When the old woman would come outside the children would throw sticks and stones at her and she became know as the Witch of the Plantation. When the children of the community started disappearing , never to be found the old witch was blamed. It is rumored that she had placed a curse on them so they never grew up and ended up in the bottom of her well which became know as the Witch's Wishing Well......... It donates to several local charities each season.
